I'm Futaba (he/him/his)
...and I am fascinated by the space between reality and possibility. Anything can arise from such a space -hope, stories- and be harnessed into action. My liberation as a queer, trans, artist of color has taught me to question the rules, create new worlds, and be a little fucking bold about it. After all, I believe storytelling is a form of planning.
Based in NYC, I am a film, stage, and musical actor trained in dance, singing, and clowning.
I also offer educational resources on art and activism and work digital media at Gender & Family Project, Gender Conference*NYC, and Rattlestick Playwrights Theater. I spend my free time taking myself very seriously and napping.
I am represented by DDO Artists and am a proud member of Actors Equity Association.
